What is a doorstep loan?

Doorstep loans are a kind of personal loan that can be delivered to you in cash or deposited directly into your bank account. If you have an unforeseen cost, then you could consider a UK doorstep loan.

You could apply for one of our doorstep loans and if approved, pay it back in weekly instalments.

As the name suggests, local agents collect repayments from the doorstep of your home. You can now also manage doorstep loans online or over the phone.

They are usually for a small amount that can be paid off in months, rather than years. Short term borrowing is not necessarily suitable for long term needs.

You can also make your repayments in cash. We have to complete some credit and affordability checks and we may need to see evidence of your income and outgoings.

Do you offer doorstep loans for people on benefits?

You can apply for a doorstep cash loan if you are receiving benefits, but we can't guarantee that you will be approved.

We are a responsible doorstep lender, which means making sure we offer you the right products for your circumstances.

Can I get a doorstep loan if I am unemployed?

If you are unemployed, then a doorstep loan may not be the best option for you.

As responsible doorstep lenders, we must ensure that we are offering you the right product.

You may be able to get a doorstep loan, but if you don't have a steady or predictable income you could struggle to meet the repayments.

If you know that you will be unable to make repayments, you should not apply.

Can I apply for a doorstep loan without a credit check?

No. As part of our assessment, we need to carry out checks with a credit reference agency.

But a bad credit rating does not mean that you won't be approved for a doorstep loan. We will still consider you even if you have a less-than-perfect credit history.
