How do you Apply For a Morses Club Loan?

Mon 02 October 2017

Doorstep Loans Main

Morses Club is one of the largest providers of home credit in the UK. Home credit is often referred to as a doorstep loan and the providers referred to as doorstep lenders. This is because the loan is delivered to your door and the repayments are collected from your home.

Our loans are between £300 and £1500 and are all agreed, delivered and collected in person. This personal service means that agents can get to know you and ensure that you understand the terms of the loan. We pride ourselves on lending responsibly so we’ll aim to ensure you don’t take on a loan that is unaffordable.

We are focused on putting our customers first and part of doing this is keeping our application process simple.

Before you apply

Not everyone is eligible for a Morses Club loan and you must meet the following criteria:

  • You must be over 18 years of age
  • You must not have been declared bankrupt, applied for Sequestration, had a Debt Relief Order or an Individual Voluntary Agreement in the last 6 years
  • Live in an area that we cover

Apply online

Our online application form is simple and should only take you a few minutes to complete. It is a short form designed to gather some basic information and your contact details. Once you submit this information, you'll find out within minutes if you have been initially approved.

Apply by telephone

If you would prefer to complete your application by telephone then you can call our friendly customer service team. Once they have gone through the questions with you, they will let you know if you have been initially approved.

Initial Approval

You will find out within minutes of submitting you application whether you have been approved in principle - this will include a credit check. Don't be put off applying if your credit history is not perfect; we assess each application individually.

Completion of you application

Once you have received initial approval, we'll arrange a convenient time for a local agent to come and complete your loan application in person at your home.

When you meet with your agent they will conduct an affordability assessment and will need to evidence your income and outgoings so we can ensure your loan is manageable.

Once your loan has been completed, you will receive a cash payment to spend on whatever you need.

Repayment

Your agent will make sure that you understand exactly how much your loan will cost and what your weekly repayments will be.

Your first repayment will be collected 7 days after you receive your loan and then weekly until you have repaid your loan in full.
