ITV is taking on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing with a brand new show; Dance, Dance, Dance. Starting in 2017, Dance, Dance, Dance will feature celebrities, you guessed it, dancing.
The celebs will be tasked with recreating dances from pop videos and movies, judged by an expert panel. We can expect some fancy special effects to accompany the iconic dance scenes, and lots of glitz and glamour.
The judges will include choreographers to the stars, Tina Landon, who’s worked with Rihanna and Jennifer Lopez, and Timor Steffens who’s choreographed for Michel Jackson and Usher. There’s also Ashley Banjo, founder of dance group Diversity, winners of Britain’s Got Talent.
Presenting the show will be Alesha Dixon, winner of Strictly Come Dancing in 2007, and judge on Britain’s Got Talent. She’ll be joined by Will Best of T4 fame.
We’ve got some info about the celebrity contestants too, including soap stars Jo Hudson, Jonny Labey, Paul Coker, and Fiona Wade. TOWIE’s Jessica Wright will be joining them, along with JB Gill from the boyband JLS.
Host Alesha Dixon said ‘The art of dance has always played a big part in my life so this show is the perfect fit for me. The standard of dance is very high and I can’t wait for the public to see these iconic performances brought back to life.’
Co-host Will Best added ‘I’m so excited to be hosting Dance, Dance, Dance alongside the fabulous Alesha Dixon. I can’t wait to see what routines the celebs and their partners will be performing.’
