Doorstep Loans Main

Every household uses some products pretty much every day. From ketchup to cleaning products, there are some things you just can’t do without and can never have too many of.

But constantly replenishing these items can be an expensive exercise. Here are our tips of how to buy more of your favourite products for less.

Shop around

If you see something on offer in a supermarket or a pound shop and it’s something you use all the time, snap up as many as you can! This is especially true of cleaning products which can often cost a few pounds a bottle – when they’re on offer you could get 3 or 4 products for the price of one, so it’s worth getting quite a few. As long as it’s something you will use then this is a great way of saving money, and if you have any coupons for money off your shop you could get even more of a bargain.

Visit a Wholesalers

There are lots of different wholesalers throughout the UK, who sell large quantities of everyday products – from toilet roll to kids toys. To be eligible to use wholesalers you sometimes need to pay a yearly membership (these are usually quite reasonable) or work within certain industries. It’s well worth looking into – try Costco as a place to start, one of the biggest wholesalers in the UK.

Look online

Websites like Gumtree aren’t just good for finding a bargain on furniture or clothes, sometimes people post a job lot of items for sale on here. You might have to do a bit of searching – trying typing “bulk buy” or “wholesale” into the search bar – but you’ll be amazed what you can find. Again, you might have to spend a bit of money upfront, but you could be surprised what you save in the long run.
