Beat the Blues

Beat the Blues

With January coming to a close and the cold dark weather getting to us all, here at Morses Club we want to talk about our favourite ways to beat the blues! Whether these are tips on activities, health or even a little treat, we have you covered.

1. Feel Good Friday

A great way to beat the blues is to treat every day like its Friday! Fun things to do can include spending time with friends and families, or trying something new every day, such as cooking a new meal you’ve never tried or walking a different route.

2. Wellbeing Tips

There’s nothing better than feeling healthy, so why not beat the blues and improve your health at the same time! With activities varying from doing Yoga at home to walking and running in your local community, this will surely get you feeling great about yourself.

3. Beat the Cold Weather

One of the biggest factors for feeling blue at this time of year is the weather; indoor activities can keep you wrapped up at home whilst still having fun. Why not plan a movie night with your partner or dust off those board games and spend some family time with the kids? You’ll all be in high spirits in no time.

4. New Hobby

Learning a new skill is always an exciting adventure! Whether it’s learning an instrument, developing your crafting skills or reading about a new subject, there’s so much support available; if not in your local area, then online.

5. Saving Money

A great way to beat the blues is to have something to look forward to. We recommend piggy banking all the small change you have and as the weeks and months progress, your money will grow, allowing you to treat yourself or loved ones later on in the year.

6. Competition Winner

To really show our support for beating the January blues, we gave away £50 worth of Love2Shop vouchers. Our winner Sarah White now has the chance to really treat herself, but don’t despair; the activities involved in this post can be done by all and fit around your day to day lives.
